The Sandworms in Beetlejuice, live on a world referred to as ‘Saturn’ or ‘Sandwormland’ a region of the Neitherworld. It is sort of a ‘Forbidden Zone’. Saturn appears in the film as a type of limbo, or to be more exact, a vast, endless desert filled with sand dunes and massive brown structures of different shapes reaching skyward. Our “Sandworm” is an earthy blend of redwood, mild camphor with hints of fir, spruce, moss and mint with a
sprinkling of greenery, aloe, and a subtle citrus twist. After reading an article in the newspaper Beetlejuice who hints that sandworms are his Achilles heel. Beetlejuice says, “We’re like peas in a pod, the three of us.”
